SedArc inc Architects is a partnership of George Sederavicius, O.A.A. and Shirley Sederavicius, O.A.A., architects with over thirty years of collaborative experience in USA, Finland and Canada.

We are general practitioners experienced and well-rounded in a broad range of commercial, hospitality, residential and school projects, in the eight million dollar construction range.

Our services include all phases of the architectural process including re-zoning; committee of adjustment; feasibility studies; building design and construction documentation; construction contract administration and field reviews.

We believe that a small general practice allows us to provide personal and exceptional service to our clients and the community, from inception to project completion.

We believe the built environment enriches the quality of life and we foster a deep commitment towards innovative design tempered by pragmatism gained from years of experience. Our design approach is forged by the building program, motivated in spirit by natural light, human scale, knowledgeable use of building materials and appreciation of historical precedent. Preeminent in our conceptual thinking is a focus on functional planning, spatial clarity and attention to detail, these being the consequence of the specific project needs and project goals.

We cultivate a strong and positive relationship with craftsmen and builders to achieve a continuum between design and the construction process, which we believe to be fundamental in realizing a successful building project. We collaborate with a team of skilled engineering consultants to provide the specialized expertise required to meet the project objectives. Each project is approached individually, responding to specific site constraints, context and to meet client needs and budget requirements.

Our design approach strives to be sensitive to people with special needs by integrating the concept of universal design, which has been augmented by having taught Barrier-Free Design courses in close liaison with the former Barrier-Free Design Centre of Toronto.

Our work on historical buildings has received an Award of Merit from the Toronto Historical Board which recognized contributions towards awareness and appreciation of our heritage.
